I'm still learning GIMP and I'm trying to learn how to use all the different tools and I never thought about using the burn tool!

This tutorial will be very helpful for future arts!

This is awesomeness. I tried it and ended up forgeting to change the opacity, so after messing with the colors, I now have wings

....Still love the tutorial though.

I can't get this to work at all. I followed the steps exactly, and when I did the burn/dodge steps my results didn't look like yours. Then the blur tool didn't work at all! What am I doing wrong?

urrm I was just wondering how do you acctually get the gradient on the layer/background? I don't really understand, but however this tutorial is really awesome

If I remember correctly, you press the gradient button and some settings for it come up. Then on colour you click it and change it to a gradient. I'm afraid I don't have GIMP on this computer, but it should work like that.
